Birds on the Lagan
Since the regeneration of the Lagan, the river now is home to a good variety of birds. Here's what you can expect to see :

Mallard, Little Grebe, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Coot, Moorhen, Oyster Catcher, Redshan, Kingfisher, Black Guillemot, Pied Wagtai,l Grey Wagtail

Garganey
Recently spotted at Stranmillis weir, the Garganey is very rare in Northern Ireland.
